Cloud computing — complementary high performance computing (HPC) resource

 

Cloud computing offers an excellent complimentary HPC resource. The idea is that you can "rent" computing over the internet. It is particularly effective for applications that can be "trivially parallelized" and with low to modest interprocess communications.
