Abstract: 
The Android application framework is unique in how it allows applications to interact. Understanding this Leveraging other applications means less duplicated work and interaction is key to effective application design. allows each developer to focus on the experiences they do best. This session will cover the overall Android architecture at a high level, and the framework components that allow applications to interact including Intents, Content Providers and Broadcast Receivers.
Bio: 

Hod Greeley has been programming professionally for over 17 years.

He has worked in a variety of software fields, including computational physics and chemistry, computer and network security, investment management, and mobile devices. He is currently a staff engineer and team lead at Samsung's San Jose Mobile Communications Lab, Mobile R&D Group, where he focuses on the Android platform. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Columbia University.
