A Tool for Visualization and Animation of Aggregation Operators (VISAG)

The goal of this project is to develop a tool (VISAG) for visualization of preference logic aggregation operators and other functions of two variables. The visualization includes the flexible plotting of surfaces, and the animation based on several characteristic parameters. In the case of preference logic aggregation operators the parameters include weights and andness or orness of aggregators. The primary users of VISAG are researchers and students. VISAG is designed to help researchers to better understand the properties of various aggregation operators, and to design new operators. The tool allows users to render aggregation operator functions on screen as in 3D view, and to set viewing parameters for each function. Users can add new aggregation operator functions either in direct analytic form, or as Java functions of arbitrary size and complexity. The animation of functions with parameters is based on fast rendering of 41 plots with increasing/decreasing values of parameters. VISAG enables easy plot and export of graphs for publications, and PowerPoint presentations.
