With the advent of Internet, communication and collaboration has become faster, cheaper and easier. Internet has become an integral part of many people’s lives. There are millions of web sites which are providing different types of services. Before Web 2.0, the websites were not interactive and did not provide rich user experience. Web 2.0 technologies allow users to receive dynamic content and participate and control the content among other benefits. The goal of this project is to develop a web application using Web 2.0 technologies which allows users to customize their homepage. The customizable homepage helps users to meet the increasing time demands in day to day activities. It allows users to maintain all information they need in one place and allows it to be changed as required. It allows users to customize the layout and content of the homepage by managing gadgets and their relative positions in the web page. Since it’s an account maintained online, they will be able to access their customized homepage from anywhere.
