Abstract: 

Harvester meets the need for an easy-to-use software tool that parses heterogeneously formatted data to achieve a coherent representation of the selected data. Harvester includes a unified user-interface enabling collecting and integration of public postings and reviews posted on various social media networks. The system presented here is designed to be easy-to-use, flexible, extensible, and efficient. Through the simple user-interface, users of the system define any social media network to which they hold membership. Users also have the flexibility to configure, according to their business needs, the relevancy of the data to be analyzed and stored. The efficiency of this system is achieved through its data collection engine, which collects the selected data without user interaction. With the inclusion of a Visualization component to be provided by developer Bhavana Senapathi, the Social Media Review Harvester is a complete solution for harnessing social media review data without diminishing users. financial resources: it is an open-source system.
