Abstract: This project presents design and implementation of an educational tool for study of programming language Python. It aims at providing a cleaner user interface for better online learning experience at free of cost. Along with the course contents focusing on the fundamentals and some high-level concepts in Python, tool also provides a testing and practice environment for the user. Contents of lessons and quizzes can be modified by instructor at admin dashboard. The tool is a web application built using Flask, a micro framework written in Python. The database is implemented in MongoDB and User interface is designed using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The application includes: 1) Python coursework 2) Quiz system with automated grading 3) Instructor panel for editing lessons and quizzes 4) Code interpreter for practice. This tool is intended for CSC600 class at SF State or for anyone who wants to learn Python and has some prior experience and basic understanding of programming concepts.
