Digital Asset Management, is software the aids in the management, organization, and accessibility of digital assets, or multi-media. With the rise of popularity of digital media in the workplace, there is a growing need for robust and affordable DAM software. At Spitfire Photo, we have developed a hosted DAM solution focused on the workflow needs of corporate and academic departments. WebDAM is 100% web-based and optimized for searching over the web across millions of assets. In this seminar, I will explore our software design and SaaS IT infrastructure developed for performance, scalability, and redundancy to support the needs of some of the world?s most prestigious organizations. I will also discuss our entrepreneurial journey to software commercialization. WebDAM is currently implemented at numerous marketing, communications, and athletic departments within organizations throughout the world including Stanford University, Harvard Medical International, Inter-American Development Bank, University of Southern California, Wake Forest University, and the American College of Rheumatology.
