Abstract:

The size of networks has considerably increased, including the increase in the widespread use of the internet. Networks span multiple platforms, devices and operating systems. More rich services are being provided across these networks. It has become important for the network users to easily discover and consume these services. Our objective is to demonstrate the capabilities of the Jini technology in service oriented architectures. To this end, we have designed and implemented a workflow system in a Jini network that consumes multiple external services. We provide implementations of both web based and mobile workflow clients.
